Fall 2011 Seminar Series
The Nano Institute was proud to partner with the Departments of Bioengineering and Pharmaceutical Chemistry to host seminar speakers for the Fall 2011 Semester.
Our first seminar speaker was Dr. Ick Chan Kwon from the Center for Theragnosis, Biomedical Research Institute, at KIST (Korean Institute of Science and Technology).
Dr. Kwon's talk was on “Theragnosis, a new paradigm of personalized medicine.”

Our second seminar speaker was Dr. Ling Zang, USTAR Associate Professor of Nanotechnology, from the University of Utah, Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
Dr. Zang's talk was on “Amplified optoelectronic properties of organic nanowires and applications in trace explosives detection.”

The third seminar speaker was Dr. Rajesh Menon, USTAR Assistant Professor from the University of Utah Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Dr. Menon’s talk was on “Nanopatterning and imaging beyond the far-field diffraction limit.”
