Professor, Radiobiology, Department of Radiology office: 801-581-5638 Mailing Address: Dr. Miller is working with the Kopecek group on the development of nanotherapeutic delivery systems for the treatment and/or imaging of skeletal diseases that include osteoporosis, arthritis and cancer metastases to bone. Emphasis is placed on the development of targeted biopolymers as imaging or therapeutic agents. They are also developing amphipathic carrier systems to improve the pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of chelators to remove toxic metals and radionuclides from the body. Imaging applications of this technology are also being explored. |
