Dr. Akerley is Sr. Director of Community Oncology Research at Huntsman Cancer Institute and Professor of Medicine in the Oncology Division at the University of Utah. As a medical oncologist, he has been active in clinical research for greater than 20 years.  He actively cares for lung cancer and melanoma patients and has recently completed a lung cancer trial through the Huntsman Intermountain Cancer Care Program.
