NanoDays at the University of Utah

NanoDays is a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering. NanoDays events are organized by participants in the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISE Net), and took place this Spring at over 200 science museums, research centers, and universities across the county.

This year, NanoDays was hosted in partnership with The Leonardo and Utah Science Center, at the Utah Natural History Museum on the campus of the University of Utah on May 15 from 12-4 PM.

Representatives of the Nano Institute's Student Advisory Board as well as Nano Institute faculty members and colleagues participated by giving demonstrations geared towards school aged children. Demonstrations included hands-on activities, which demonstrated studies in nanotechnology and basics regarding research techniques and equipment. See pictures below for a glimpseat thefun and engaging activities that were offered. Watch our website for information about next year's NanoDays activity, spring 2011.
