- nanoUtah Annual Conference
As part of their training experience, Nanotechnology Training Program students attend nanoUtah at the Marriott City Center, Salt Lake City, Utah, October 14, 2010. nanoUtah 2010 was the 6th Annual Utah Statewide Nanotechnology Conference, which is jointly hosted every October by the University of Utah's College of Engineering, Nanofabrication Laboratory, and Nano Institute of Utah.
First Annual orientation of the Nanotechnology Training Program at the University of Utah. Our first round of new doctoral students discuss program details with University faculty and staff. This inaugural meeting was held in late August, 2010 at the University's Colorow research facility in Research Park, home to several USTAR faculty, the Brain Institute, and the Nano Institute of Utah. Dr. Ilya Zharov, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, is another program faculty member who shared an overview of his research during our orientation meeting.Overviews were presented by several faculty members in order to raise interest among the new students about their research. Nanotechnology Training Program students will choose at least two labs to rotate through before deciding to apply with a particular mentor. August 23, 2010.
